Kyllä nuo viikonloput vähentää ainakin meikäläisellä nykyisin rahankulutusta kummasti -ja aika kuluu siitä huolimatta hyvin rattoisasti toisen lempiharrastuksen parissa. Koulu vain tahtoo haitata molempia harrastuksia kamalasti! :-D Eli taas on istuttu noin 900 km autossa ja matkustettu sekä länsi- että itärajalle päin.
Tänään sitten matkailusta väsyneenä pystyin raahautumaan vain tapaamiseen opettajan kanssa, luennoille ei ollut puhettakaan että olisin jaksanut -itku meinasi tulla kun kello soi! Iltapäivällä sitten nukuttiinkin Miehekken kanssa kahden tunnin päikkärit ja lisäksi on juotu kahvia ja kokista iltaseitsemän jälkeen, joten Nukku-Matti ja Uni-Jukka päätti ruveta pistelakkoon tämän vuoksi, koska heidän TES kuulemma kietää laillisten piristeiden (eli kofeiini!) käytön työajalla. :-D
Pääsin kuitenkin Estiin ja sain sieltä jouluisella lahjakortillani kaksi kerää SandnesGarnin (linkki tällä kertaa engl. tekstissä koska oletan että useimmat suomalaiset tietävät yhtiön) Lanettia (ruskea ja v.punainen) ja yhden perusvärisen vyyhdin FritidsGarnia (tumman ruskea) sekä yhden sesonkikerän samaa lankaa (indigo/turkoosi). Mukaan myös 2 mm sukkapuikot noita Lanett-keriä varten ja 3 mm pyöröpuikot edellisissä postauksissa mainittua villapaitaa varten.
Käsialani on päässyt löystymään joten totesin, että vois olla hyvä siirtyä useimmissa langoissa yhtä puikkokoa pienempään. Tosin, totesin niiden 2 mm puikkojen olevan ihan hammastikut ja ostin sitten (kun jossain kerta pihistellään...) Lidlissä käydessä vielä 2,5 mm sukkapuikot. Käsien niveliä ja lihaksia säälin jo valmiiksi!
Mutta kyllä, nuo langat lisääntyvät itsekseen! =D
Today I'm finally back in front of my computer. I've been on the weekly roadtrips again and spending a lot of time in a car with four other people -no room for knitting of any kind. Instead a lot of Taekwon-Do!
Today I was so exhausted by the weekend that I only made it to a previously agreed meeting with my teacher, I didn't even give a thought to going to my class. Instead me and the BF napped for over two hours in the middle of the day -and after 6 pm I also had a cup of coffee and even later, some Coke. So, no going to bed early tonight!
After that we made it to the LYS and I got rid of my gift card I've had since Christmas! I got 2 skeins of SandnesGarn's Lanett (brown and pale pink) and also two skeind of FritidsGarn (bwon and indigo) from the same manufacturer. The first is 100 % superwash Merino wool -just realized that! I think that I'll make a hat from them. The latter is 100 % new wool which I'll knit into a bag and felt later. I also got a set of 2 mm/ US 0 dnps for the Lanett and 3 mm/ US 3 circular needles for my sweater project. (As you can see, I'm still buying needles for different project since I just began knitting more last year -until then I mostly used my Mum's needles)
I just started to feel that maybe the dpns were a little too thin -believe me, they look like tooth picks!, so I got 2,5 mm / hmm.. US 2?? set from the grocery store (We went to Lidl and they have these weekly special products for sale and this time around there were needles and yarn. I didn't get any yarn, though -they were either for (fine) crocheting or pure polyester).
But yes, the yarn skeins do reproduce!!! :-D
