I have new sock, here with "the captain of a chalk boat" (a Finnish idiom, which doesn't really work... means pale *haha*)
Malli: Laine-sukka Ullasta
Lanka: Austemann Step
Puikot: Alumiiniset 2,75 mm
Lankaa meni: ehkä noin 80g
Pattern: Laine-socks from Finnish web magazine Ulla
Yarn: Austermann Step (w/ Aloevera and Jojoba oils),
around 80 grams in total
Needles: Aluminium 2,75 mm / US 2-3
I liked the pattern -it was easy to follow and pretty. Although I'm still wondering about the 9 extra stiches on sock #1 after the heel. They didn't apear on sock #2 -but I added some, just to avoid ripping the first sock... I liked the shortened row heel (which I earlier called a peasant heel) and will use it again for sure. These will be my sleeping socks to help my hard, dry feet recovera little from training with bare feet on hard wooden floors day in and day out. That's why I don't mind that the striping doesn't match. The sheep won't mind.
